Water & Electric Customers:

Sec. 22-105. Deposit
All customers of either water or electric service or both shall prior to receiving said service, place a deposit with the City of Fayette. (Deposit is based on prior usage of the property.)

Sec. 22-98. Billings, when payments due

The statement shall be maintained at the City offices or mailed on the last day of each moth to each customer. It will be the responsibility of the customer to make arrangements for paying for services rendered.
All accounts are due and payable by the fifteenth (15th) of the month, unless the 15th falls on a weekend or holiday, of each month without penalty. On the 16th of each month, any account still remaining unpaid is considered delinquent and a penalty of 10% will be added.
NOTE: The City of Fayette only sends one bill and does not send final disconnect notices!

Sec. 22-99. Cut off Date- Reconnection fee

If all utility charges are not paid by the 21st day after a statement of charges is presented to the customer, and if the 21st is not a Friday or a holiday, all or a portion of utilities will be cut off. If the 21st day is on a Friday or a holiday, then utilities will be cut off on the following City business day.
The customer may be reconnected as soon as all charges are paid plus a reconnection charge of $35.00. Reconnection after normal work hours will incur a $70.00 reconnection charge.

Trash Service:
Advanced Disposal: 660-385-5426

Normal household trash will be picked up on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. All trash should be set out at the curb by 7:00am. Yard waste is the same day as regular trash pick up and recyclable material will picked up on Thursdays.
